Born on 11th September 2001, Juma Wasswa Balunywa a.k.a JWB is a 22-year-old student at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) in Nakawa. In recent months, he has become a hot topic on social media following his contest for the MUBS Guild President position.
A leading contender for the MUBS Guild President race, Juma encountered this obstacle during the UYD vetting process, as per the party’s announcement.According to an official statement from UYD, Benedict Luswata has been chosen as the party’s flagbearer for the 2024-2025 Guild Election after careful deliberation.
Despite this setback, Juma Wasswa Balunywa has opted to persist with his candidacy as an independent candidate in the forthcoming election. Juma gained considerable traction in January, particularly on social media, thanks largely to the efforts of his campaign team, headed by Enricho Kawooya, who crafted catchy campaign tunes chanting his name.
